 Wrigleyville

Wrigleyville is home of the renowned Chicago Cubs. It is named for
Wrigley Field, the famous ivy-covered ballpark that anchors this bustling neighborhood, and for good reason. The surrounding streets largely revolve around the hallowed stadium, and even when the Cubs lose heck, it doesn't even have to be baseball season there's still a party atmosphere.

Bars like Hi-Tops, Sluggers, and Murphy's Bleachers are ready to cater to fans of all sports, and a slew of souvenir shops sells enough
merchandise to outfit you in blue and white from head to toe. The
neighborhood is less noisy on non-game days or in the off-season, but it's by no means quiet. Thursday through Saturday night, it's always jumping with bar-hopping twenty-something.

Formerly a working-class neighborhood, Wrigleyville is now home to many young professionals who enjoy its proximity to Lake Michigan and a wide range of social options, from drinks and dinner to dancing. Metro showcases hot bands, the ImprovOlympic features daring improvisational comedy, the Annoyance Theatre thrills with its raunchy brand of humor, and Clark Street boasts a rainbow of ethnic cuisines, all within a few short blocks.

Part of the larger Wrigleyville area, the people in Wrigleyville are as
diverse as the food. The southern edge reflects the influence of
neighboring Boys Town; same-sex couples mingle with straight couples, and nary an eyebrow is raised. So come for the game and stay for the party, or vice versa, in this active neighborhood.
